Through the European Agrifood Biotech Alliance, it unites key stakeholders to drive innovation, influence EU policy, and build a Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda for a strong public-private partnership.
EPIC-SHIFT - HORIZON EUROPE
2025
EPIC-SHIFT is a Horizon-funded European partnership that assesses the environmental, social, and economic impacts of novel foods based on alternative protein sources (NFAP), with a focus on precision fermentation. The project develops strategies to integrate these foods into future European diets and value chains through a quadruple helix model involving public authorities, industry, academia, and citizens.

The EU Food Biofuture program aims to make Europe a leader in deep food biotechnology, a field that could transform up to 40% of food production by 2040 through innovations like mycology, precision fermentation, and cellular agriculture.
FEASTS - Horizon Europe

FEASTS is a groundbreaking, collaborative research program with the goal to deliver a comprehensive, unbiased knowledge base about cultivated meat and seafood, and their place in the food system. Funded by the EU, the project is delivered by a European consortium of partners.
